What exactly does an event-market price target mean?
An event-market probability is tied to a particular contract's resolution rules and deadline. EFI's Polymarket Stock Picks organizes supported price targets so a touch target can be distinguished from a closing-price condition.
A useful read order
- Read the condition
Confirm the asset, target, direction, resolution rules, and deadline in the original market.
- Separate touch and close
Reaching a level during a window is different from closing above or below it on a specified date.
- Check the market quality
Inspect probability, liquidity, recent activity, spread, and the current spot timestamp together.
Probability belongs to the contract
A contract about touching an upper barrier and one about closing above that price ask different questions, even when the displayed target matches. The deadline matters too: more time changes the opportunity for the condition to occur.
EFI classifies supported target conditions and links them to an asset for review. Ambiguous wording, unmatched assets, or unsupported terms cannot safely become an ordinary stock target.
Use market prices as evidence
Market-implied odds summarize prices in that venue. They do not reveal an objective certainty, establish a stock's fair value, or guarantee that a position can be opened or closed at the displayed probability.
A target already reached is also different from an untagged target ahead of price. Read the target status and dated underlying evidence rather than assuming every listed level remains an outstanding destination. The older Prediction Radar route redirects to Polymarket Stock Picks.
What this cannot establish
- Thin liquidity and wide spreads can weaken the information in a quoted probability.
- Event contracts and stock or option positions have different payoffs and resolution rules.
- EFI's organization of a market does not replace the original contract terms.
